Zusammenfassung:Teilw. zugl.: Leipzig, Univ., Diss., 2013
The goal of this book is to contribute to phonotactic knowledge in speech processing with an electrophysiological evidence method for automatic access. For this purpose, theoretical constructs of phonology have been considered with methodological paradigms of cognitive psychology. In five experiments German subjects were stimulated with various phonotactically legal and illegal syllables, while their brain electrical activity was recorded. The results confirm that phonotactic knowledge is automatically involved in the sublexical language processing process
