Archaeological Study Presented dissertation starts with a discussion on research paradigms connected with the formation process of the Early-Piast State in the understanding of Polish medieval studies and archaeology, primarily in the Millenium perod (1948/1949-1965/1970). Different theoretical approaches have been confronted with archaeological premises-the chronology and structure of settlement phenomena. In consequence, attempts have been undertaken to reconstruct the transformation process of the territorial organization into the state of Piasts, the origin of Poland. |
