Zusammenfassung:New media for teaching and learning processes can help support developments in schools provided teaching staff are open to technical innovation , are able to work with the new technology, and as long as the necessary equipment is available. These were some of the findings of the Delphi Report , after a survey was conducted from 1999-2001 by the Cornelsen Stiftung (Cornelsen Foundation) into developments in media support for teaching and learning. One hundred experts from schools , universities and research organisations were approached three times for their opinions on developments in teaching and learning media. The most obvious changes are to be found, as expected, in media influenced by the use of computers. School textbooks have , as ever, their role to play in education. The main hope that experts expressed is that the new media will lead to a change in learning culture, which will encourage and enable individuals to assume more responsibility. They note that teachers require more raining and are concerned that they will not be able to keep up with the pace of development. They also paint a bleak picture asfar as the availability of public funding is concerned.
