Zusammenfassung: | This paper examines the determinants of agricultural input loan repayment in two regions of Ethiopia. The paper is based on analysis of data collected from 315 household heads selected from seven sites in two regional states, namely, the Amhara National Regional State (three sites) and the Oromiya National Regional State (four sites). The results of the study show that agricultural loan repayment by borrower farmers is influenced by a number of factors. More precisely, the results of the econometric analysis show that timeliness of input supply, amount of formal loans, food grain production level, participation in off-farm activities, value of total livestock holding, amount of informal loan, and yield loss due to natural calamities were important factors influencing loan repayment performance of sample respondents.
