Tag hinzufügen | Zusammenfassung: | In the period until acquisition of full membership into the European Union the Republic of Croatia, as a country of small internal market, will be able to realize its economic development through expressively emphasized export orientation. The authoresses research the export and investment intensity characteristics of Croatia. They conclude that it has been markedly low up to now, and that negative changes in the structure of commodity exports are underway. The export possibilities of Croatia into the EU in a short-term have been analyzed from two points of view: (1) industrial structure of Croatia and (2) protective policy of the EU. The concluding part gives the notes of possible changes of export structure of the Republic of Croatia in a long term. The authoresses estimate that with an adequate investment policy and export oriented economic and industrial policy it is possible to modernize the economic structure and more considerably strengthen export intensity.
