Zusammenfassung:(Ed.) Starting from the fact of a dispute between hegemonic and counter-hegemonic traditions, João M. Paraskeva concludes that there is a theoretical impasse in curriculum studies, which manifests itself as a theory of “non-theory”, even as a “theorycide”. This entails both an epistemicide and a reversible epistemicide, neither of which really abandons the ideal of the “old man” nor lays the foundations for creating a “new man.” This is not least because the critique of Eurocentric thinking itself uses Eurocentric modes of argumentation. Paraskeva’s thesis is commented on by a total of five researchers from different regions of the world.
