Zusammenfassung: | The existing research of the power elite theorists claimed that elite rule carries the highest power elites of society which are connected and function for their power gain. It is also noticeable that all relevant studies of elite and power theories were focused on the power systems of developed nations. However, the developing nations possessed different historical statuses, economical condition, class configurations, cultural and religious characteristics. Also, policy responses to internal conflicts, effects of wars, global instability, technological changes and economic disruptions are certainly different as compared to developed nations. This chapter fills the gap by narrating the case of Pakistan where a variety of power elites get hold and how mystifications of power under different regimes effect on political tribulation and economic performance of the country. The debate argues that the politicians, military and civil bureaucracy must build solid long term cooperation that could encourage industrial change from low to high value-added performances and lead the nation to move away from its current economic and security pressures. |
