Zusammenfassung: | The crucial issue, when assessing the going concern and recognizing deferred taxes, is making the correct judgement about the company's foreseeable future. In this paper, we describe an experiment which tests how accounting standards users make their judgements about deferred tax assets recognition for companies facing serious going concern threats. The results revealed that a knowledgeable group of IAS 12 standard users is willing to recognize the deferred tax assets and create profits in the process even when a company faces going concern threats which are clearly communicated by the management. Explaining the nature of such behaviour would require further research. |
