"Peter Piller is a German artist who archives, rephotographs and recombines found images. In Umschläge, which translates as 'covers, ' he reproduces the front and back cover of the magazine Armeerundschau, published for the East German armed forces from 1956 to 1990. Each [front] cover portrays a piece of military hardware or combatants, while the back cover [portrays] a pin-up"
