Zusammenfassung:In Barbados, little research has been done on current transfers. However within recent times in Barbados, receipts from current transfers have fallen within the first five major foreign exchange earning sources. This is important for Barbados since robust foreign earnings from current transfers will assist in building savings and as savings grow, more of these savings can be used to assist in stimulating investment, and further develop the country. Attempts are made to identify long and short-run determinants of current transfer inflows with the application of regression analysis, using annual data from 1970 to 2000. (InWEnt/DÜI)
