Zusammenfassung:The purpose of this study is to empirically analyse the FDI (foreign direct investment) behaviour of South Korean firms paying special attention to their competitive advantages, method of evaluating FDI and criteria for selecting the host country. South Korea's extreme dependence on foreign natural resources and raw materials was the initial inducement for Korean firms to secure stable supplies at reasonable prices through direct investment abroad.
