Zusammenfassung:Study of the consequences, both intended and unintended, of credit subsidy in Iran. After describing the mechanism of credit subsidy, the role of oil revenues in financing the subsidy and the banking system in chanelling it are discussed. The effects of the subsidy on the political economy of Iran are examined by linking the process of rationing scarce credit to the relations between the propertied class and the state. (DÜI-Hns)
