Zusammenfassung:The Association of South-East Asian Nations has become a regional economic growth centre in recent years. With increasing per capita income and rising expectations, domestic expenditures for consumer durable goods such as electric appliances and passenger cars have also increased rapidly in the region. The increasing demand for passenger cars has not only affected ASEAN lifestyles, but it is also expected to influence the industrial structure of the region. Based on the logistic curve approach, the authors attempt to forecast motorisation rates for Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand. (DÜI-Sen)
