Zusammenfassung:Using a stochastic frontier analytical framework, the authors estimate the level of inefficiency of the fishcage farmers of Sampaloc Lake, San Pablo City and determine the factors affecting the fishcage farmers' inefficiency. Amid the growing concern over the actual and perceived effects of overcrowding in Sampaloc Lake's fishcage operations, the authors demonstrate that such overcrowding can be remedied without necessarily reducing the number of existing fishcage farmers.
