Zusammenfassung:In the last few years, the Swiss political system has become active in science technology in many ways. The key goals have been international competitiveness and the securing of basic needs for the population. The following article evaluates the Swiss agenda for the future and analyses its strengths and weaknesses. Considered weaknesses are due to unfulfilled coordination of innovative political actions, in poor transfer between academia and industry, and in the lack of interdisciplinary projects. On the other hand, Swiss science technology's strengths lie in efficient program development, the contentment of researchers involved and the usefulness for partners in industry.
