Zusammenfassung:	This paper examines the empirical determinants of private savings in Barbados. A cointegration approach is employed using data over the period 1965-1989. The estimation results indicate that income, government savings, foreign savings and labour market constraints, proxied by the unemployment rate, play important roles in determining private savings in the short run. These variables, along with real interest rates, also have significant influences in the long run. (DSE/DÜI)
