Zusammenfassung: | The study analyses, through reprocessing the data of two time budget surveys, the size and structure of employment in formal labour market as well as the structure of employees in informal economy. Between the two surveys (1986 and 1993) significant changes took place in the Hungarian society and economy. Of these the author points out the change in job structure, the change commenced in ownership structure, the dramatic decrease of the number of active earners, and the appearance of massive unemployment. The author points out, among others, that mostly working age population withdrawn or been ousted from jobs participate in the informal labour market. Pensioners activity makes up an invariably large part, however, unemployed joined them, and it may be attributed primarily to this fact that labourers in the informal economy have become "younger". Informal labour market is henceforward governed by males, though the role of females has increased, in the context of the increased importance of welfare activities. In paid work the participation of younger, better educated and townspeople, while in low-cost activities that of those older, less educated and country people are dominating. (SOI : St.Sz.: S. 331) |
