In Mei's original plan, there were to be seven chapters, out of which only the first four were completed, and are presented in this book. The 'Cultural Revolution' disrupted his writing, during which all his manuscripts were confiscated, and Mei was politically persecuted. [...] Fifteen years [in 1988] after his death in 1973, these four chapters were first published by China's Law Press, under the title of 'The International Military Tribunal for the Far East', and republished as a newer edition in 2005."
