Una linea, Montale e qualcos’altro (A line, Montale and something else) is the catalog that accompanies the exhibition of the same name, in which the indoor and outdoor spaces of the historic residence have welcomed in a surprisingly strong embrace the artist's works, which in turn 'took space' making themselves the protagonists of a new season. «Instead of dominating the material, the painter puts himself at its service, interacting with the intelligence of painting, with its millenarian memory, taking into account that the arts are not an invention of nature but of mankind, and that painting has at least the 35,000 years of the Chauvet cave». Giorgio Griffa Giorgio Griffa. Una linea, Montale e qualcos’altro - scheduled from March 23rd through December 25th 2024 at the Castello di Miradolo - is divided into several exhibition stages that span the four seasons and embrace more than fifty years of the artist's painting, involving all the spaces of the castle, some of them for the first time, and its park. Produced by Fondazione Cosso and Fondazione Giorgio Griffa, the exhibition has been devised and designed with Giorgio Griffa, who also created some site-specific works especially for the occasion |
