Zusammenfassung:Abu Hamdanœs production is characterized by its explorations of the intersection between sound, space and politics, investigating the political dimension of voice and listening. The intersection between sound, space and politics characterizes the investigations and artistic production of Lawrence Abu Hamdan. His works question the political dimension of voice and listening, capturing what exists beyond sound itself. Defining himself as a private ear, Abu Hamdan uses sound as testimony and political evidence. For him, the propagation of sound is the most expedient way to consider all forms of border-crossing, be they material, interpersonal, architectural, juridical, disciplinary, biological, sensorial or conceptual.ʺ
