Zusammenfassung: | From a family of gaucho brewers - who founded in the mid-19th century two of the most important breweries in Rio Grande do Sul - Luiz Carlos Ritter (Argentina 1946), who has lived in Rio de Janeiro since childhood, began in 1983 a collection that currently adds hundreds of works, by great names of Brazilian and international art, quite comprehensive, from the 17th to the 21st century, with an emphasis on Modernism. One of the largest lenders of works for exhibitions in Brazil and abroad, Luiz Carlos Ritter now makes public an expressive set of his pieces in the book, with images and technical records of paintings, drawings, watercolors and prints of great artists, such as Tarsila do Amaral, Guignard, Portinari, Di Cavalcanti, Volpi, Pancetti, Lygia Clark and Helio Oiticica, and foreigners Giorgio Morandi, Alfred Sisley, Joaquín Torres García and Pierre-Auguste Renoir. The book features texts from close friends and connoisseurs of his collection, which includes a selection of outdoor sculptures by great names in art on the a garden of the family estate in Guarapari, Espírito Santo. |
