Zusammenfassung:Dawid lives part of the year in Löttorp, Öland. He goes for walks around the community with his camera and photographs what he sees, much in the same vain as his 1970s portraits of Stockholm - his hometown. Back then the walks resulted in his acclaimed photo series such as "Verkligen" and "135-36" which became popular exhibitions ((both shown at the Moderna Museet in Stockholm) and books. "Arbetsnamn Löttorp" (Working name Löttorp) could be about any small community in Sweden. The pictures are not intended to be an account of the Öland society in particular, but at the same time there are signs of what is special about a place with such fluctuating seasons, when the town is full of tourists in summer and rather desolate in winter. With his very own vision, Dawid (Björn Dawidsson) finds motifs in everything. It may be the simplest plastic chair or a stone in a stone wall that catches his eye. There is humor and blackness in his pictorial world about every other. Why the title - Working name Löttorp - and not just short and sweet Löttorp? Arbetsnamn alludes to Dawid's series "Arbetsnamn skulptur", that has been exhibited at Thielska gallery in Stockholm and Pace / MacGill Gallery in New York and also become Swedish (mail) stamps. In other words, the photographs have received a lot of attention and become a signage for Dawid. "Working names" also make it clearer that the book is not exactly an account of the place
