Zusammenfassung: | Aprensentação -- Existencia, resistencia, persistencia / Felipe Arruda -- Artistas seleccionados -- Jurados -- Obras Organized by the Tomie Ohtake Institute with the support of the EDP Institute (IEDP), the 7th edition of the EDP Arts Award culminates in the exhibition that will be inaugurated at the reopening of the Tomie Ohtake Institute with the following selected artists: Arivanio Alves (Quixelô, CE), Davi de Jesus do Nascimento (Pirapora, MG), Gu da Cei (Ceilândia, DF), Hariel Revignet (Goiânia, GO), Luana Vitra (Contagem, MG), Uýra (indígena residente em Manaus, AM) and Yná Kabe Rodríguez (Brasília, DF). And three selected with international residences: Érica Storer de Araújo (Curitiba, PR), Felipe Rezende (Salvador, BA), and Talles Lopes (Anápolis, GO). The artists were selected from 456 entries from 21 Brazilian states and the Federal District. The selection was made through portfolio analysis. After the analysis process in three stages, the ten selected artists received the jury's accompaniment in the production of the works. EDP Brasil is one of the largest Brazilian electric utility company, it is a subsidiary of EDP (Energias de Portugal) in Brazil. The company was founded in 1996 in São Paulo. Since it was founded in 2009, the instituto EDP (IEDP) has invested in sociocultural projects, which have benefited about three million people, in about 400 programs throughout Brazil. |
