Zusammenfassung:Moundverse Infants' is inspired by candy-coloured toy catalogues from the 1970s. This full-colour publication is the culmination of a three-year partnership between Trenton Doyle Hancock, The Philadelphia Doll Museum, and Temple Contemporary's Young Curators Council at the Tyler School of Art, Temple University in Philadelphia, USA. Together this multi-generational group built an expansive and deeply personal response to the formative power that toys play in our lives.00For over twenty years, Trenton Doyle Hancock has been a voracious collector of toys. Exemplary of Hancock?s collection are the hundreds of dolls he has saved from flea markets and garage sales. As Hancock states in this catalogue,?Dolls allow us not only a window into our cultural past, but can offer solutions to existing social problems. It?s not?child?s play? to meditate on toys. Within them we can find a unique utility and a grand purpose to these talismanic relics.?00Exhibition: Temple Contemporary, Tyler School of Art and Architecture, Temple University, USA (10.05.-27.07.2018)
