A modello by James Thornhill for Addiscombe House, Surrey an oil sketch in the Musée des Beaux-Arts, Rouen, is here identified as James Thornhill's modello for the ceiling painting of the staircase hall at Addiscombe House, near Croydon, begun C.1702 and demolished in the 1860s : it depicts the classical gods as an allegory of the days of the week
