Zusammenfassung:The study sums up the results of the survey carried out in 1993 within the framework of the Unified Population Survey System, covering the living conditions and health situation of the old age population (70 years and over). By way of introduction the study shows demographic and occupational data of the elderly as well as their housing conditions. One become acquainted with their relationship with relatives and other persons, with the conditions of providing and gaining financial and non-financial assistance. Considering the objective conditions, and with regard to the factors mentioned above the authors show the health situation of o!d age population, on the basis of the opinion of the elderly on the one hand and on objective indicators on the other.
