Zusammenfassung:The Venetian Mekhitharists are in possession of some Byzantine lead seals of Armenian interest (8th till 11th century), collected by father Alishan in the late 19th century. Three mention the name Artavasdos (the earliest one stems from the later Byzantine emperor), other ones offer the names Arsakios, Barsakios, and Bardas. One Bardas was judge of the thema Armeniakon. On the other hand, the Armenika themata are present by the seal of a Georgios kourator. A Gregorios belonged to the famous Taronites family. In an appendix the Byzantine-Armenian bilingual seal of a David patrikios is mentioned.
